Site Updates and Pictures

So, I’ve finally gone and updated the website.

Blog Posts:

The blog posts have been reorganized into two main blogs “public” and “private.”

The blog link automatically links to the public blog. For those of you interested in the private blog posts (and have passwords), you can get there by either using the direct link http://chenconnect.com/cateogory/private or just by clicking on the blog link on the main page; you should see the private blog link on the left-hand sidebar.

Site Name:

I’ve also come up with a site name that I like, Infectious Diseases in Cattle. If you know the reference off-hand, then write a comment for me 🙂

New picture additions:

I’ve uploaded a few new albums. All new albums will most likely be put into either Family or People from here on out. There are three relatively recently-added albums in the People section, two of them are from the Stage Lounge (which might get its own sub-section soon enough), and one from a “Race 4 Charity” event I attended with my dad’s coworker, Andy, and his wife.

Since this IS a photography site/blog, I might as well say that I have been doing my research on camera equipment.

Between the full-frame sensor cameras that aren’t the Canon 1Dx, I’ve been leaning towards the 5D Mk III. However, since that body is very expensive, I’ll most likely wait until the 5D Mk IV comes out, primarily b/c I think it will feature the 6D sensor which can focus in extremely low light. Also, waiting will give me more time to save up beaucoup bucks (the 5DIII goes for ~$3k). In addition, I’m looking at the 50mm 1.2 L as the next lens I get (after I get the full-frame body). Later on down the road, maybe a 24-70 II L.

Looking forward for this site:

  • Fancy drop-down menu to directly link to either the private or public blogs.
  • Email subscriptions! I want to make it easier for those of you who are interested in following this blog when new stuff comes out.
  • Downloads page (this will come out pretty quick). Just a page where you can find all your original-res downloads at the click of a button.

That’s all!
